Meet the Star-Studded Lineup Joining the Joe Perry Project on Tour
Joining Joe Perry on this thrilling tour are several of his esteemed colleagues, each recognized as rock royalty in their own right. This remarkable lineup features Brad Whitford, fellow guitarist from Aerosmith, and Buck Johnson, who serves as the touring keyboardist and backing vocalist. Additionally, Robert DeLeo, the talented bassist from Stone Temple Pilots, and drummer Eric Kretz will contribute to the dynamic sound. To top it all off, the charismatic Chris Robinson from the Black Crowes will take on lead vocal duties, promising an unforgettable performance.
The bond between Robinson and Perry runs deep, as he has collaborated with Perry on the guitarist’s 2023 album, Sweetzerland Manifesto MKII, and has shared the stage with him in recent years. The Black Crowes were also slated to support Aerosmith on their farewell tour, which was unfortunately cut short due to Steven Tyler‘s vocal injury, leading to his retirement from touring. DeLeo’s impressive credentials also include his performance on Sweetzerland Manifesto MKII, and he has previously played in the Hollywood Vampires alongside Perry, Alice Cooper, and Johnny Depp.

“It’s time to let the music do the talking once again,” Perry expressed in an enthusiastic statement. “I’m incredibly excited about the lineup for the Joe Perry Project this year! Most of these talented musicians joined me at the Roxy in Los Angeles for the debut event of my latest solo album, Sweetzerland Manifesto, back in January 2018. They’re all extremely busy but have graciously carved out time for this tour.”
Perry further elaborated, “The set list will include my favorite JPP tracks, alongside hits from STP and Black Crowes, and with Brad, we’ll dive into some classic Aerosmith hits and a few deep cuts. You never know what surprises might pop up! It’s going to be an absolute blast, and if you’ve attended one of my shows, you’ll understand why I describe it as ‘GARAGE BAND on STEROIDS.’ Can’t wait to see you all there!”
