Goose has an exciting year ahead, with new summer tour dates for 2026 recently announced.
The Disco Biscuits, moe., and Greensky Bluegrass are among the bands supporting the Connecticut-bred group for the upcoming shows. The tour is set to kick off on June 13 in Toronto and will continue through August 29 in Salt Lake City. Presales will begin on Wednesday (January 28), and general tickets will go on sale on Friday (January 30) at 10 a.m. local time.
What’s New With Goose?
The group had a remarkable year in 2025. They released two new albums, starting with their fourth studio record, Everything Must Go, which was released in April. However, they weren’t finished yet. In mid-August, they surprised fans with an additional album titled Chain Yer Dragon, featuring nearly 90 minutes of music.

As guitarist and vocalist Rick Mitarotonda explained in an interview, Chain Yer Dragon allowed the band to finalize some ideas, bringing familiar fan favorites to album form, including the 16-minute+ closer, “Factory Fiction.” Some concepts date back as far as 2011.
“We’ve been trying to make this record for a long time… It makes sense now,” he remarked in late August, shortly after the album’s release. “It feels deeply right that it’s happening now… where the band is now, the way we’re communicating, the way we’re interacting with each other. It’s right. It feels really, really good for this material to have been realized this way.”

The Evolution of Goose
In a separate conversation with the Captain at WBLM, Mitarotonda shared that songs like “Give it Time,” the initial single from Everything Must Go, illustrate their view of music as an evolving entity. He stated that this perspective is “baked into” their overall philosophy as a group. “[There] are many bands that have forged that mentality, [with] with the Grateful Dead being one of the most notable.”
“Even with modern music, it’s an approach I truly appreciate,” he added. “There are countless ways a song can exist.” He cited Justin Vernon of Bon Iver as another example. “Their live performances are not dissimilar; while they may not improvise for 20 minutes straight, he alters and tinkers with arrangements.”
Where is Goose Performing in 2026?
They’ll be touring extensively, starting with a March date in Athens, Georgia, followed by April shows from Asheville, North Carolina to Irving, Texas. After a series of overseas performances in May and early June, they’ll begin their summer tour across the United States.
Highlights include a return to Madison Square Garden for two dates. They sold out the iconic New York venue last year for the first time and delivered an epic performance lasting over four hours. Additional gigs are scheduled at Red Rocks in Denver, as well as in Los Angeles at The Greek and Seattle at WAMU Theater.
