56 Days has finally arrived for streaming, leaving fans to wonder if the series will be renewed for Season 2. Featuring Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia, it is an erotic crime thriller based on the popular novel of the same name. So, will the story return for another season?
Here’s everything we know so far.
Has Prime Video canceled 56 Days or renewed it for Season 2?
As of now, Prime Video has not renewed 56 Days for a second season. However, there have been no reports of a cancellation either.
The eight-part debut season of 56 Days arrived for streaming on February 18, 2026. Since then, there has been no official confirmation that this thriller series will return for another installment.
The show is based on Catherine Ryan Howard’s 2021 psychological thriller novel of the same name. It is a standalone book with no sequels or additional materials. Since there is no more source material to adapt from, the show could have a limited one-season run as well.
Whether or not the showrunners decide to expand the story further remains to be seen. For now, there are no official updates regarding a renewal.
Developed by Lisa Zwerling and Karyn Usher, 56 Days is an erotic thriller series. It follows Oliver Kennedy and Ciara Wyse, who begin a passionate relationship during the COVID-19 lockdown. 56 days later, the police find the body of a brutally murdered unidentified person at Oliver’s apartment, unraveling the dark chain of events that led to this shocking crime.
Along with Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia, the cast includes Megan Peta, Dorian Missick, Karla Souza, Patch Darragh, Kira Guloien, and more.
Prime Video released the official trailer for 56 Days on its official YouTube channel on January 21. The show premiered on February 18, with all eight episodes available for fans to binge.
