Adults is rapidly gaining traction across social media platforms!
The highly anticipated new FX comedy series made its debut on the network last Wednesday (May 28), featuring a weekly episode release schedule. However, eager viewers can currently binge all episodes available for streaming on Hulu.
Adults revolves around a group of twenty-something friends navigating life in New York City while striving to be good individuals, even though they grapple with the reality of not being fully ‘good’ or entirely ‘people’ just yet. The characters Samir, Billie, Paul Baker, Issa, and Anton share everything from meals and emotional struggles to the occasional toothbrush. Throughout this eight-episode season, the housemates confront the concept of capital-R Responsibility, each with varying degrees of success and hilarity.
This ensemble comedy, produced by Nick Kroll, features a talented cast including Malik Elassal as Samir, Lucy Freyer as Billie, Jack Innanen as Paul Baker, Amita Rao as Issa, and Owen Thiele as Anton.
Fans are eagerly wondering if the series will be granted a second season. Its growing popularity on social media has led many to hope for a renewal, especially given its impressive ratings—a 74% score on the Tomatometer and an 84% score on the Popcornmeter on Rotten Tomatoes!

As of now, FX has not officially renewed Adults for a second season.
Series co-creator and showrunner Rebecca Shaw recently shared her thoughts on the potential for the series to be renewed.
“We are truly hopeful for a renewal. We have so many more engaging stories to unfold with these characters,” she expressed to Collider. “We have developed a deep affection for them and are excited to explore their experiences in relationships, at work, and while navigating both new and old friendships, including those that may fall apart.”
“The dynamic between Issa and Paul Baker is a relationship we’ve somewhat taken for granted in the earlier episodes,” she continued. “There is so much more depth to explore there, and we’re thrilled for our audience to witness this evolution.”
