Zach Braff is addressing an outrageous rumor circulating online.
The Scrubs star firmly stated that he is not involved with an AI robot, following speculation linking him to an unnamed actor reportedly dating a virtual assistant.
“I’m not dating a chatbot,” he expressed in a March 12 Instagram Stories post. “I can’t believe I have to type these words.”
The 50-year-old further speculated that the rumor might be related to the recently launched reboot of the ABC medical sitcom.
“It is a storyline in an upcoming episode of Scrubs,” he continued. “Maybe it came from that? Not sure. But not me. Love, the guy not dating his chatbot.”
Zach—who previously dated Florence Pugh from 2019 to 2022—added, “Please update all gossip sites.”
The Garden State actor shared this message alongside a screenshot of comedian Max Silvestri from a recent episode of his I Need You Guys podcast—which he cohosts with Jenny Slate and Gabe Liedman—noting in a subsequent Instagram Stories post that the trio and guest Kumail Nanjiani “were the origin of” the rumor.
