Ally Lewber candidly discusses her breakup with James Kennedy, shedding light on their tumultuous relationship.
The 29-year-old former star of Vanderpump Rules recently opened up about her separation from the 33-year-old DJ, who is also her co-star, during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio.
In a heartfelt social media post made in January 2025, Ally announced that she and James had officially parted ways. She also addressed his arrest in December 2024 for domestic violence, clarifying that he faced no charges.
While engaging with the hosts of Page Six Radio, she expressed that she was not taken aback by the end of her relationship with James, stating that she feels a sense of relief for having exited the situation.

When prompted about the reasons behind their breakup, particularly regarding any astrological influences, she remarked: “Okay, so literally since January of 2024, I’ve been looking at the year ahead through astrology. I told James, if we can survive this year, then we’re meant to be together. The astrology for December is particularly significant, which felt like a long way off from January.”
“I mentioned that December’s astrological influences would challenge us, testing my relationship dynamics and his career and home life. I had warned him about it, and while it sounds strange, it oddly provided some clarity. After the challenges, although it was tough and painful, I had some foresight into how things would unfold,” she reflected.
She reiterated her gratitude for having ended the relationship with James.
“Ultimately, it feels like this was meant to happen, which is disheartening, but I cherish the moments we shared. He played a significant role in my life, offering encouragement and support. We had wonderful experiences together, though most of our time was overshadowed by his dishonesty and struggles with alcohol,” she elaborated.
“It’s truly sorrowful, but I had to prioritize my well-being. I’m thankful that I made the decision to leave that relationship, as I had been wearing rose-colored glasses, hoping for a successful resolution. My love for him made me wish for his improvement,” she concluded.
