Cardi B has found another humorous way to encourage her fans to buy her new box set for Am I the Drama? released earlier this week.
The Grammy-winning rapper joined X Spaces and jokingly stated that if her fans didn’t support her, she would face eviction and have all her cars taken away. Cardi humorously mentioned that she spent her budget on the “Imaginary Playerz” video.
“I’m about to get evicted from my mansion,” she said, according to Complex. “They’re about to repo all my cars. They’re about to take my Lambos and my Rolls-Royce. I couldn’t even get my pool cleaned this week, you know what I’m saying? I’m in a tough spot right now.”
Cardi continued to plead: “Please donate to my album because it’s going to come out on Sept. 19 and it’s all I got. I just want to say thank you guys so much, because it’s been very hard for me.”
On Wednesday (Aug. 27), Cardi B unveiled an alternate light pink cover art for Am I the Drama?, featuring Cardi in lace couture. Signed CDs, vinyl, and box sets are available on her website for $14.98 and $39.98, respectively.
Am I the Drama? serves as Cardi’s long-awaited sophomore album, arriving seven years after her Grammy-winning debut.
The project is set to include 23 tracks, featuring previously released singles “Outside” and “Imaginary Playerz,” the latter debuting at No. 70 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100. “Up” and “WAP” are also part of the album.
