Mishael Morgan, widely recognized for her portrayal of Amanda on The Young and the Restless, has officially launched her new production company, Iron Spine Productions, in a recent Instagram announcement.
Morgan had previously stepped away from The Young and the Restless following an intriguing storyline involving Phyllis and Cane. Now, it appears that the actress is embarking on a new venture that may influence her future in soap operas.
By sharing a screenshot from an article in Playback, which read, “Actor-producer Mishael Morgan launches Iron Spine Productions,” Morgan revealed this new direction in her career.
“New chapter. Deep breath. Let’s go,” Morgan began her Instagram post. “I have officially opened my production company. It feels equal parts thrilling and terrifying in the best way. I’m still acting (always), but I’m also stepping into a space with more agency, more ownership, and more responsibility for the stories I help bring into the world.”
She continued, “I won’t lie, impostor syndrome tried to pull up a chair. But then I remembered something I’ve promised myself over and over again: never stop pushing past what’s comfortable. Growth never happens there.”
She further added, “Launching this during Black History Month feels especially meaningful. It’s a reminder that the stories we tell, and who gets to tell them, matter.”
The actress shared insights about her first planned project: “I’m incredibly excited to begin developing a project based on @vanessarileyauthor’s beautiful book, one that’s deeply connected to my Caribbean heritage and to stories that honor our past while pushing us forward,” she wrote.
Morgan concluded her post by stating, “There are so many exciting things on the horizon. Stories that matter. Stories that challenge me,” adding, “Stories that feel personal. Here’s to betting on yourself, even when your voice shakes. Cheers to the next chapter.”
