Amy Schumer is receiving support following her separation from Chris Fischer.
After her announcement on December 12 that she and the James Beard Award-winning chef have chosen to end their seven-year marriage, the I Feel Pretty actress has been met with an outpouring of encouragement from her fellow celebrities.
In fact, Gayle King shared heartfelt messages for the couple, who share a 6-year-old son named Gene.
“Amy has been there; it’s never easy,” Gayle commented on Amy’s Instagram post from December 12. “Only YOU could make THIS announcement with humor & love….Wishing you BOTH the very best.”
Additionally, long-time friend Sophia Bush encouraged the 44-year-old to treat herself with kindness during this public divorce.
“It’s so incredibly hard without having it be hard for the world to witness,” Sophia remarked. “So when the world sees, I’ll just say be extra gentle with yourself.”
The One Tree Hill alum also expressed that she would be thinking of Amy during this challenging time, adding, “All love.”
