Apple TV+ has renewed The Morning Show for Season 5 ahead of the show’s Season 4 premiere. The hit series, featuring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon in the lead roles, debuted on the streaming platform on November 1, 2019. In the following years, it has garnered positive responses from critics and Apple TV+ subscribers.

The Morning Show will return with Season 5 at Apple TV+. The streamer greenlit the next chapter of the drama series hours before Season 4 came out. Notably, the fourth season was also announced before the debut of the previous season.
Created by Jay Carson and inspired by Brian Stelter’s 2013 non-fiction book Top of the Morning, The Morning Show revolves around Aniston’s Alex Levy and Witherspoon’s Bradley Jackson as they navigate the world of broadcast media. The show’s narrative often focuses on real-world news topics, including the #MeToo movement, racial inequality, the COVID-19 pandemic, the Capitol insurrection, and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Besides Aniston and Witherspoon, the series’ cast also includes Billy Crudup as Cory Ellison, Mark Duplass as Charlie “Chip” Black, and Greta Lee as Stella Bak. Charlotte Stoudt is the showrunner of the series and serves as an executive producer alongside Aniston, Witherspoon, Michael Ellenberg, Lindsey Springer, Kristin Hahn, Zander Lehmann, Lauren Neustadter, Mimi Leder, and Micah Schraf.
Since its premiere, The Morning Show has received mostly positive reviews from critics. Its first season garnered a 61% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Seasons 2 and 3 got 67% and 75% approval ratings, respectively. The repeated early renewals denote the faith Apple TV+ outwardly shows for the series and the creative team behind it.
