The name change “allows the couple and their children to expand upon their global philanthropic endeavors as a family,” shares the official website, as they intend to broaden their “efforts for meaningful reach and maximum impact.”
They want to create space for their children, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, to be included in their philanthropic identity.
According to People, Archewell Philanthropies “will still operate within a nonprofit structure, but now through a fiscal sponsorship model — a common setup that lets charitable projects grow more easily around the world.”
