And it was fantastic. We went all the way to the bank with that one.” While he refrained from disclosing the specific amount, he confidently stated it exceeded $40 million. “It was more than in any movie I’ve ever made.“

As Arnold Schwarzenegger pointed out, his decision to forgo a salary for Twins was a strategic move aimed at persuading the studio to allow him to take on a comedic role. “They were like, ‘No, we know we are going to make money with you if you do action movies,’” he recounted in an interview with Business Insider in 2019. “Literally for ‘Twins’ I took no salary — I just wanted to give it a shot. And it just happened to be my first movie to make $100 million domestic.
