Baby Girl Named After Ozzy Osbourne by Jack Osbourne

Jack Osbourne Welcomes Baby No. 5, Named After Dad Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne’s legacy lives on.

Seven months after the Black Sabbath frontman died at age 76 amid his battle with Parkinson’s disease, his and Sharon Osbourne’s son Jack Osbourne welcomed a baby girl with wife Aree Gearhart, and the pair gave the newborn a legendary name: Ozzy Matilda Osbourne.

Included in his March 11 Instagram announcement, Jack revealed that young Ozzy was born on the morning of March 5 and weighed 7 lbs and 12 oz. The newborn even slept alongside a stuffed bat plushie, an apparent reference to when his late dad bit the head off of a bat while performing onstage in 1982.

For her part, Aree shared the video to her Instagram Stories, writing, “Our Ozzy Matilda Osbourne has landed earthside.” Plus, the mother-daughter duo bonded in matching pink pajamas in another snapshot.

Three months earlier, Jack—also dad to daughter Maple, 3, with Aree, as well as daughters Pearl, 13, Andy, 10, and Minnie, 7, with ex-wife Lisa Stelly—announced that he and Aree were growing their family and noted how it was helping him amid the loss of his dad.
