Ben Foster is opening up about his recent move to Nashville.
In a new interview, the 44-year-old Motor City actor revealed that following his divorce from Laura Prepon, he’s left Los Angeles and New York City for a simpler life in Tennessee.
Keep reading to find out more…“I lived in L.A. for, we’ll call it 12 years,” Ben told The Hollywood Reporter. “I lived in New York for about the same.”
If you didn’t know, Ben and Laura, 45, married in 2018 and he filed for divorce in November 2024 citing “irreconcilable differences.” Together they share a daughter born in 2017 and a son born in 2020.
Ben and the Orange is the New Black actress owned a home together in Nashville before their split, which they bought in March 2024. They sold the house this past July for $4 million, according to Us Weekly.
“[My ex-wife and I] had two children and my parents are very close with my children,” Ben added. “They’ve moved close to Nashville.”
Along with being close to his family, Ben is enjoying the things that Nashville has to offer him.
“After the pandemic, I had a cognition that I didn’t need to live on either coast, quite frankly,” he explained. “I love horses and I ride. I love live music. I dig country music.”
“There’s been a shift from both coasts and I’ve found that it’s gentler for me, at least, to hub there,” Ben continued. “Nashville is just a different way. I’m enjoying it.”
