What was the best rock album of 2025? You have been assisting the team at Loudwire Nights in selecting between Three Days Grace’s Alienation and Deftones’ private music to advance to a final showdown for the title. Now, let’s resolve this debate once and for all.
It was a significant year for Three Days Grace, who welcomed back former vocalist Adam Gontier to join current vocalist Matt Walst on their eighth studio album Alienation. The album continued the band’s trend of hit, chart-topping singles, already producing “Mayday,” “Apologies,” and “Kill Me Fast” in 2025, with more potential singles likely to follow in 2026.
Meanwhile, Deftones’ popularity seems to be on the rise as the band enjoys a moment in 2025 with their album private music. The group has already released hits like “my mind is a mountain,” “milk of the madonna,” “infinite source,” and looks set to continue with “Cut Hands” and more as we move into 2026.
As with all of Chuck’s Fight Club battles, Loudwire Nights host Chuck Armstrong will introduce the matchup in the 8 PM hour of Monday’s show. Individual arguments will be presented for both albums on Tuesday and Wednesday while you continue to rank each. On Friday, the votes will be counted, and the higher-ranked record will be featured in a Loudwire Nights rock block during the 8 PM hour.
