Based on Satoru Nii‘s manga of the same name, the breakout 2024 hit Wind Breaker follows Haruka Sakura (Yuma Uchida) as he works his way through Furin High, a school known for student brawlers who protect their town, attempting to climb to the top.
Action and character development: For the perfect blend of action and character development, Wind Breaker has you covered. Thirteen episodes of this burgeoning hit series are currently available, making for a viewing task sure to take up your whole week but not too long to put you off. At its best when leaning into absurd melodrama, Wind Breaker is a breathless series packed with action.

The perfect time to start:If you’ve never stepped foot into this alternate version of romance and scandal in high society London, there is no better time to start than now. A steamy series that puts heavy emphasis on unmissable drama, there’s a reason that Bridgerton has become one of Netflix’s flagship shows — one that proved consistent in its quality with the most recent fourth season that “raises the bar,” according to Carly Lane‘s review for Collider.

‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ (2013–2021)

A perfect distraction: There’s no hiding from how scary the world is right now. To help calm nerves and provide the perfect distraction, you can’t beat the comedy genre, with one of the best of this century created by Dan Goor and Michael Schur. The consistently brilliant <em>Brooklyn Nine-Nine</em> follows life inside the fictional 99th Precinct of the New York City Police Department in Brooklyn, as Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher) lead a hilarious team of detectives.
A blend of quality and quantity: Few comedies are as impressive in both quality and quantity as Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Samberg and Braugher are joined in a perfectly assembled cast by the likes of Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Terry Crews, and more, as the chaotic childishness of these crime-solvers is perfectly juxtaposed by their genuine talent for their jobs. Often surprising and always hilarious, don’t miss out on Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
