Jessica Simpson‘s daughter Birdie Mae couldn’t resist this opportunity.
The “Irresistible” singer shared that when her 6-year-old’s school hosted Spirit Week, Birdie jumped at the chance to channel her mom for “dress as your favorite artist” day.
Sharing a picture of the grade schooler, Jessica—who shares Birdie plus kids Maxwell Drew, 13, and Ace Knute, 12, with ex Eric Johnson—wrote on Instagram Oct. 9, “Bird wanted to dress up as meeeeee.”
Indeed, Birdie’s outfit was filled with Easter eggs referencing her mom’s decades-long career. In addition to rocking a black tee with the cover art of Jessica’s 1999 album Sweet Kisses, Birdie wore denim shorts as a nod to her Dukes of Hazzard character, as well as silver cowboy boots made for walkin’.
She completed the look with a plethora of costume jewelry, including bejeweled cocktail rings and a statement necklace with green gems. To truly embody her mom’s spirit, Birdie posed next to a microphone.
