Megyn Kelly openly criticized Blake Lively during a recent interview, amid Lively’s ongoing legal disputes with Justin Baldoni. Lively made headlines after she graced the red carpet at the prestigious Time100 gala, an event celebrating her recognition in TIME’s esteemed list of the 100 Most Influential People of 2025. However, her presence at the gala has ignited significant controversy and backlash among her fanbase and the public.
During the interview, Megyn Kelly, who also made her mark on the influential list, shared her thoughts regarding Blake Lively’s participation in the event.
Megyn Kelly’s Strong Remarks on Blake Lively’s Gala Attendance
Megyn Kelly firmly expressed that Blake Lively “shouldn’t be” attending the Time100 gala.
In her conversation with The Daily Mail, the political commentator accused the Gossip Girl star of “bastardizing” the Me Too movement through her allegations. Kelly went on to label Lively’s ongoing lawsuit against Justin Baldoni as “a ridiculous joke,” suggesting that it undermines the seriousness of genuine claims within the movement.
“I believe that she launched a fabricated Me Too allegation against Justin Baldoni, and it’s something she will come to regret,” Kelly asserted. She emphasized her belief that every accusation made by Lively has “fallen apart,” questioning the validity of her claims.
Kelly did not hold back in her criticism of Lively being honored at the gala, suggesting that the actress was attempting to destroy Baldoni’s life “over absolutely nothing.” She described Lively’s celebration at the event as a “scandal,” indicative of the ongoing tension surrounding their legal battle.
In a sharp and humorous remark, Megyn Kelly joked about the possibility of taking a selfie with both Blake Lively and Meghan Markle, quipping that both women had provided her with “so many hours of content” to discuss.
Additionally, Kelly pointed out that TIME magazine seems to be leveraging the controversy surrounding Lively to generate publicity for themselves, criticizing their decision to feature her prominently. She remarked that they were “very wrong” to do so, suggesting that the magazine’s motives were questionable.
The former host of America Live humorously noted that she wouldn’t make an effort to avoid Lively or her husband, Ryan Reynolds, at the event. However, she expressed her belief that it was Lively who would likely be trying to steer clear of her.
Kelly further emphasized the importance of thoroughly investigating Lively’s allegations, despite recognizing that the actress and her husband possess “powerful PR people and lawyers.” She underscored the necessity of ensuring that future accusers can be believed, should they come forward with legitimate claims of abuse.
Meanwhile, the legal situation between Baldoni and Lively has taken a new turn. Attorneys representing Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer, along with his publicist, Jennifer Abel, have filed 14 claims against Baldoni’s former publicist, Stephanie Jones, adding another layer to this ongoing legal drama.
