The actress was barely 10 when she started playing Ginny Weasley, evolving from “Ron’s little sister” to Harry Potter's soul mate throughout the films.
Wright graduated from the London College of Communication and established her own production company, BonBonLumière, in 2012. In addition to acting in films such as After the Dark and Who Killed Nelson Nutmeg?, she has written and directed her own short films, including Separate We Come, Separate We Go, featuring David Thewlis (known as Remus Lupin); the 2014 film Know Thyself, with Christian Coulson, who portrayed Tom Riddle; and Medusa’s Ankles, starring Jason Isaacs, aka Lucius Malfoy.
However, she appears to have stepped back from acting (her most recent film was 2018’s A Christmas Carol) to explore other career paths, releasing her book, Go Gently, in 2021, which provides readers with tips on engaging in the climate movement.
In 2019, Wright joined Emma Watson, Tom Felton, Matthew Lewis, and Evanna Lynch for a reunion that someone thankfully captured in a photograph. “Time turning,” Wright captioned the image, emphasizing the sentiment with a lightning bolt.
She was previously engaged to Sweeney Todd star Jamie Campbell Bower, who played a young Gellert Grindelwald in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, but they ended their engagement in 2012. She then dated Simon Hammerstein for several years before finding love with Andrew Lococo in 2020. The couple married in March 2022 and welcomed their son, Elio, in September 2023.
