“Hello everyone, it’s Brad from 3 Doors Down. I hope you’re having a fantastic day today,” Arnold conveyed in his emotional video. He continued, “Unfortunately, I have some disappointing news to share. A couple of weeks ago, I fell ill and was admitted to the hospital where I received the diagnosis of having clear cell renal cell carcinoma that has metastasized into my lung, and it’s at stage 4, which is quite serious.” His candidness about his condition reflects his deep connection with his fans.

According to information from the National Cancer Institute, clear cell renal cell carcinoma, often abbreviated as ccRCC, is recognized as the predominant type of kidney cancer, accounting for approximately 80% of all renal cell carcinoma cases. This type of cancer is characterized by its distinctive clear, bubble-like cells that are visible under microscopic examination, which is how it derives its name.

Arnold, who recently celebrated nine years of sobriety in January, explained that due to his health condition, 3 Doors Down will unfortunately have to cancel their upcoming tour dates, including their performances supporting Creed on the Summer of ’99 tour.
