Brittany Cartwright is reaching a new high after the low point of her divorce.

The Vanderpump Rules alum is now in a relationship one year after filing for divorce from Jax Taylor, with whom she shares a 4-year-old son, Cruz.

“She has someone in her life that’s really amazing that I am head over heels for,” Brittany’s The Valley costar Kristen Doute confirmed to People on Aug. 21. “She’s dated people during her single years since her ex-husband, and I have not approved of them. They’ve been fine, but not wonderful. This person is very wonderful and very cool. Very family-oriented.”

The 42-year-old also mentioned that Brittany’s new partner is also a parent, which adds even more common ground to their relationship.

“He’s a dad, so it makes it really easy,” Kristen explained, “a lot easier and understandable.”

While she didn’t disclose the identity of Brittany’s new flame, when asked if the couple is serious about each other, she teased, “We’ll see.”
