One Original Star Is Confirmed Not Returning

Buffy the Vampire Slayer will be returning, but at least one star of the original series won’t be.

Since news first broke of the initial castings in 2025, several stars have been confirmed to join the cast of the highly anticipated Hulu revival series, including one beloved returning face and a brand new Slayer.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer started as a 1992 film penned by Joss Whedon before debuting as a TV series starring Sarah Michelle Gellar in 1997.

The story will go on with a new chapter in the Buffyverse, written by Nora and Lila Zuckerman and directed by Oscar winner Chloé Zhao.

The world is about to meet the newest generation of Slayers, but one person is definitely returning.
