The will, originally signed in 2013, encompasses his personal property, including items related to Dolly’s iconic music career such as costumes, photographs, vehicles, and other memorabilia.
Carl also mentioned there may be a handwritten note detailing where certain personal items should be allocated. If that note cannot be found, Dolly will take on the responsibility of distributing those belongings herself. She has also requested to be appointed executor of his estate.
The couple were married for 58 years after eloping in 1966 (they later renewed their vows for their 50th wedding anniversary in 2016). She often referred to him as her biggest supporter, despite his desire to remain out of the limelight.
The “Jolene” singer recently created a video to address growing concerns about her health amid online speculation.
