Carrie Ann Inaba Apology to Danielle Fishel on Dancing With the Stars

‘DWTS’ Fans Spot Awkward Moment Between Danielle Fishel & Whitney Leavitt After Shocking Elimination

Warning: This story contains spoilers for the Nov. 4 episode of Dancing With the Stars.

Carrie Ann Inaba did not intend to upset a contestant.

The Dancing With the Stars judge apologized to Danielle Fishel for her comment about Danielle’s “tiny” body on Halloween Night while praising her and pro partner Pasha Pashkov‘s performance during this week’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame episode.

Before entering the ballroom on Nov. 4, Danielle revealed that Carrie’s criticism had lingered with her after her Oct. 28 routine on the ABC competition series, when The Talk host remarked, “You have to use the space because you are a tiny little woman.”

“I am a tiny little woman,” the Boy Meets World alum reflected in a confessional, “but she’s big on the inside—more powerful—so I need to unleash her more often.”

Danielle also recognized that demonstrating how much larger she can make her movements would be challenging, humorously stating, “It doesn’t come naturally to be flailing my 5-foot-1 body around the floor.”
