Cassie is expressing serious concerns regarding her safety and well-being, fearing what Diddy might attempt to do if he is granted bail before his sentencing. She has taken the proactive step of submitting a formal request to the presiding judge, urging that she should never have to confront the possibility of Diddy being released and potentially posing a threat to her.

The renowned singer-songwriter has taken legal action by submitting a letter to the court on Wednesday, formally requesting that the judge deny Diddy the opportunity to re-enter society prior to his sentencing. This follows his conviction on two serious counts related to the Mann Act, which involves the transportation of individuals for illicit sexual activities.

Cassie, alongside her attorney, Douglas Wigdor, has articulated that Diddy is “more likely to pose a hazard to the victims who bravely testified in this case,” which notably includes Cassie herself. This statement underscores the serious nature of the allegations and the potential risk Diddy presents if released.

Prosecutors are clearly intent on preventing Diddy from being released on bail, arguing that the charges he faces under the Mann Act are classified as crimes of violence. They assert that due to the violent nature of these offenses, he should remain incarcerated. Additionally, another witness in the case, Deonte Nash, has also submitted a letter appealing to the judge, urging that Diddy be kept behind bars.

In contrast, Diddy’s legal team has proposed a comprehensive bond arrangement, suggesting a bond amount of $1 million. This proposal includes cosigners such as Diddy himself, his mother, his sister, and the mother of his eldest daughter. They claim that Diddy will restrict his travel to only specific locations, namely New York, Los Angeles, and Miami.

Recently, Diddy was found guilty on two counts related to the Mann Act, while he was acquitted of more severe charges such as racketeering and sex trafficking. Notably, one of the sex trafficking charges was directly associated with his alleged interactions with Cassie.

Cassie provided testimony over several days in May, during which she was notably far along in her pregnancy. Her harrowing testimony revealed that Diddy forced an escort to urinate in her mouth, and she disclosed that she suffered from numerous urinary tract infections as a result of the disturbing sexual encounters she experienced while with Diddy.

The disturbing video evidence depicting Diddy assaulting Cassie at a Los Angeles hotel also played a significant role in influencing the jury’s perception during parts of the trial. However, despite the compelling nature of this evidence, it was evident that the jury ultimately did not believe the prosecution had sufficiently proven the charges of sex trafficking against him.
