“I hold such a special place in my heart for country music,” she expressed passionately on Instagram. “Growing up, I listened to it every morning and afternoon on the school bus, and it was always present at bonfires, grocery stores, and karaoke bars. These experiences shaped my musical identity and keep me connected to my roots, influencing the sound of my new music.”

“Many fans wonder if this means I’m creating a country album,” the Missouri native shared. “My answer is, well, right now I’m just focused on making music that brings me joy. ‘The Giver’ is my unique take on country music, influenced by the classic country divas. I’m here to embrace my creativity and have fun with my sound, adding a touch of my own flair.”

Excitingly, the Grammy-winning musician is set to appear on the March 14 episode of Apple Music’s Today’s Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen. E! “I hail from southwest Missouri,” Roan continued. “My upbringing was steeped in Christian and country music, but then I discovered the electrifying sounds of ‘Alejandro’ by Lady Gaga, which opened my eyes to new musical horizons. Even now, driving through West Hollywood listening to Jason Aldean or Alan Jackson’s ‘Chattahoochee’ brings back such nostalgic memories.”

According to Roan, one of her greatest inspirations for this transition into the world of country music comes from the Tennessee duo Big & Rich and their Grammy-nominated hit “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy).” She vividly recalled, “I thought, ‘I want to capture that feeling on stage. I want to feel that energy.’ That’s how I approach my writing, thinking about how I want to present myself on stage.”
