Charlie Kirk was enjoying his college campus tour, appeared to be in good spirits, and did not express any concerns about his personal safety, according to a friend who spoke with the conservative activist the day before he was fatally shot in the neck in Utah.
Sources close to the situation tell TMZ that Charlie had a 20-minute phone conversation with a friend on Tuesday, during which he was excited about his upcoming Turning Point USA events and speaking opportunities.
We’re informed that Charlie never mentioned any safety concerns while traveling, and throughout extensive conversations with his friend, he never once brought up his personal safety at public events or elsewhere.
Our sources indicate that Charlie had also not suggested he was receiving death threats to his friend, and although he travels with a small security detail, his guards primarily escort him from place to place for protection.

The individual who spoke with Charlie on the phone has a long-standing relationship with him; they have worked together since Trump was first elected in 2016 and were both involved in Turning Point USA.
As you know, Charlie was addressing a large audience at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah when he was shot in the neck. This event marked the first of 15 stops on his “American Comeback” tour.
Charlie was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
