‘Emily In Paris’ Actor Jeremy O. Harris Arrested in Japan on Suspicion of Drug Smuggling
Matt Prokop is starting the new year with additional legal issues.
The High School Musical 3 actor was arrested in Victoria, Texas, on December 24, facing multiple charges including possession or promotion of child pornography, as confirmed by the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office to E! News on January 10.
Furthermore, the 35-year-old—who was in a relationship with Sarah Hyland for nearly five years before their breakup in 2014—was charged with resisting arrest and violating a bond or protective order related to a case from 2024 involving resisting arrest and aggravated assault of a family member, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He is currently in custody with bail set at $117,500.
E! News has reached out to Prokop for comments but has not received a response.
Prokop—whose acting credits also include Hannah Montana, Good Luck Charlie, and the TV movie Geek Charming, where he starred alongside Hyland—has faced legal troubles in the past, as the Modern Family alum was granted a restraining order against him in 2014, which her attorney confirmed to E! News at that time.
