Cillian Murphy Says He Has 'ROMO' Over Not Being In Christopher Nolan's Upcoming 'The Odyssey' Movie

Cillian Murphy is speaking out about not being a part of the ensemble cast of The Odyssey.

The 49-year-old actor has worked with the upcoming film’s director Christopher Nolan on several occasions, but is sitting this one out.

While attending the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival this past week for his new movie Steve, Cillian was asked about The Odyssey.

“Is there a trailer? I have ROMO: ‘Relief of missing out,’” he joked with Variety. “No, I can’t wait to see it. If any director in the world could tackle The Odyssey, it’s going to be Christopher Nolan. I am so excited to see it. He is one in a million. He’s been a huge part of my life as an actor. I can’t wait to see what he does with it.”

Among the Nolan-directed movies Cillian has starred in include Dunkirk, Oppenheimer, The Dark Knight Rises, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Inception, and Transcendence.
