Close Enemies Tour Dates Announced for Tom Hamilton in 2026

The bassist of Aerosmith, Tom Hamilton, is taking his band Close Enemies back on tour starting in January.

They will stick to warmer locations with a short series of performances in California and Florida. The tour begins on Jan. 2 in San Juan Capistrano and is currently scheduled to conclude on Jan. 29 in Mt. Dora. You can view the full schedule below.

What Can You Expect at a Close Enemies Concert?

Hamilton and his band, featuring vocalist Chasen Hampton, guitarists Trace Foster (Hamilton’s long-time bass tech in Aerosmith) and Peter Stroud (Sheryl Crow), along with drummer Tony Brock (The Babys, Rod Stewart), present a cohesive set that emphasizes new songs from the band.

They also include some beloved tracks from the past, occasionally featuring an Aerosmith classic, but Hamilton is selective about which songs he performs.

“You know, for me, ethically, it had to be songs that I had co-written. It’s not like we’re going to get up there and play ‘Walk This Way,’ ‘Dream On’ [and songs like that],” he stated to UCR in 2024. “[But] ‘Sick as a Dog,’ I’ve been eager to perform that song live for so long. I had difficulty convincing the guys in Aerosmith to include it in the set. I realized, ‘Alright, this is my chance! Now I get to hear that song on stage again.’

The Inspiration Behind the Band’s Latest Single

“More Than I Could Ever Need” is a song written by the Aerosmith legend as a tribute to his wife of nearly 50 years. The band produced a music video for this track, and Hamilton described the process as surprisingly smooth and unexpected.

“We spent a day filming a video for an upcoming song from the album and finished with about an hour left before we had to leave the studio,” he shared in a press release. “We needed a lyric video for ‘More Than I Could Ever Need,’ and asked the director, Tom Flynn if we could do something.”

“Fifteen minutes later he had the studio prepared and we did a few takes. Two days later he sent over the finished product and we were amazed! He captured the essence of the song and the band’s appearance so well we could hardly believe it,” he added. “We hope you enjoy it too.”
