Brandi Glanville and Tori Spelling Reflect on Their Complicated Relationship Amid Cheating Scandals
Tori Spelling and Brandi Glanville engaged in a candid conversation about their experiences navigating the turbulent waters of high-profile cheating scandals, delving into their past feelings towards one another and how those emotions have evolved over time.
During a recent episode of misSPELLING, Tori Spelling’s podcast, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Brandi Glanville, shared her insights as they explored unresolved issues between them. They candidly discussed the complexities of being on opposing sides of infidelity, revealing their shared experiences in the realm of betrayal.
Brandi, who was married to Eddie Cibrian during his infamous affairs with both LeAnn Rimes and Scheana Shay, recounted the emotional turmoil that followed their split. Despite their shared history, Cibrian eventually married Rimes, and they remain together today, highlighting the complexities of love and betrayal.
On the other hand, Tori and her husband, Dean McDermott, faced their own challenges as they both strayed from their initial partners while filming a movie together. Their relationship blossomed into marriage, resulting in five children. However, their journey was marred by Dean’s own infidelity, leading to Tori filing for divorce in 2024.

Spelling recounted their initial encounter, stating, “The first time we met one another…” before Glanville playfully interrupted with, “You were a bitch.” According to Brandi, Tori approached her then-husband, Cibrian, without acknowledging her presence, which left a lasting impression.
As they continued to explore how their lives intersect, Glanville revealed her friendship with Mary Jo Eustace, the woman Dean cheated on Tori with, emphasizing the intertwined nature of their stories.
Glanville commented, “So my husband cheated with someone on a film set,” drawing parallels between their experiences. “We were in similar situations on opposite sides,” she noted, emphasizing the shared pain of betrayal.

As their conversation shifted back to their past relationships, Glanville expressed that she doesn’t assign blame solely to either party involved in an affair. “I blame both of them,” she articulated, shedding light on her perspective regarding infidelity.
“I’m like, I hate him because we had two beautiful children and that’s his choice. I just got chills. It’s hard to talk about,” Glanville continued, reflecting on her emotional struggle. “The man isn’t forced into getting hard and having sex with you. That’s on him. I don’t think it’s your fault, or it’s LeAnn’s fault. It’s everybody’s fault.”
“I was like, I’m going to take accountability for everything,” Spelling remarked, addressing Dean’s infidelity and adding, “What goes around comes around, didn’t you say that?” This statement reflected the cyclical nature of relationships and betrayals.
Indeed, Glanville had made a similar remark about Spelling during a 2014 interview with Us Weekly, following the revelation of McDermott’s infidelity. Despite this history, the two women managed to laugh off the comment during their podcast discussion, showcasing their growth and understanding.

“I don’t want that for my children. I don’t want them to go through another separation ever,” Glanville expressed, emphasizing the impact of divorce on children. “Divorce messes kids up. It really does,” she added, demonstrating her concern for their well-being.
Reflecting on how she discovered Cibrian’s affairs, Glanville offered insight into her current feelings towards him and their past relationship.
“I found out about many, and they were all different shapes and sizes. I had to come to the conclusion it wasn’t me, it’s him,” she shared, expressing the pain of betrayal. “It broke my heart. In a way, I’m still mad at him for taking my kids away half the time. I lost half their lives. I still have a bit of resentment.”
“We get along fine; we spend holidays together. [But] It took me a decade … I was at war with them for 10 years. It was horrible,” she recounted, revealing the arduous journey towards co-parenting. Glanville also mentioned that she, Cibrian, and Rimes even attended therapy together to prevent their children from getting caught in the middle of their complicated relationships.
“This is our mess; don’t mess with the kids. At that point, my heart was broken, and all I cared about was my children,” she said, emphasizing her priorities. “It was actually fun therapy. I got to say so many things. But they kept changing the therapist because the therapist kept agreeing with me.”
Regarding Cibrian, she admitted, “He’s a man; he just wasn’t the husband for me,” before sharing her belief that Rimes “wanted him to come out so she could have her man.”

The two women then found common ground in discussing their intimate experiences with their ex-partners following the betrayals.
“We would get into fights, and then we would have sex. I was like, you have to go,” Glanville described her tumultuous relationship with Cibrian. “It’s not even make-up sex; it’s like torture sex. Is this the last time? Do I love you? You broke my heart; why am I here? What’s going on?”
Meanwhile, Tori shared her experience with Dean, recalling a moment of intimacy that took place “in the bathroom of his room at UCLA” after he was placed on psychiatric hold following the media exposure of his cheating on Tori.
“The sex was really good,” Spelling admitted, reflecting on her conflicted feelings. “I thought about it for a really long time, what’s wrong with me?”
“You’re punishing yourself. It’s part of when you’re in love with someone,” Glanville advised her. She added that she doesn’t believe she has ever loved anyone like she loved Cibrian, partly due to her struggles in finding relationships due to her fame and recent health challenges.
The episode concluded with Spelling agreeing to appear on Glanville’s podcast in the future, as Brandi expressed, “I’m glad we got that all cleared up.” Tori responded, “I’m so sorry you thought I was a bitch when I first met you.”
