In recent years, fans have speculated that Cheryl and Larry may have had a falling out due to politics, with Cheryl being married to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Larry being a vocal opponent of President Donald Trump and the current administration.

Keep reading to find out more…During their chat, Billy asked Cheryl about her “TV husband” and if their friendship “changed a little” after the series finale of Curb aired in April 2024.
“Well, I haven’t talked to him in a while,” Cheryl admitted after taking a pause before answering. She then noted that she and Larry “probably” haven’t been in contact since an event tied to the finale.
While referencing her new book, Unscripted, Billy then asked Cheryl about her audition for Curb, as she explained, “I love Larry, and I think Larry loves me.”
“I think it’s just politics; it makes conversations…” Cheryl said, before Billy cut her off and started talking about the The New York Times essay Larry wrote in April 2024 titled “My Dinner With Adolf,” in which he wrote about an imaginary dinner with Adolf Hitler.
Also during their conversation, Billy asked Cheryl if she could pick up the phone to call Larry, or if it “was on him” to reach out.
“I don’t think it’s on either of us,” she responded. “I think it’s interesting; you know, I do have one friend I’d talk to almost every day, who now she doesn’t talk to me. … But with Larry, he’s not one [where] you call and chat with him. I do feel like if I had a reason to call him, he would talk to me. I don’t think he would not talk to me.”
Cheryl continued, “The truth of the matter is [that] because I’m married to Bobby and Bobby’s in the administration, just knowing that is enough for some people to not want to see my face [or] be around me. It’s too hard.”
She also said that she has witnessed how politics “can come in and change everything” in friendships and relationships.
“I could not have written this script,” Cheryl said, referring to <bRFK Jr.‘s political ambitions. “I learned a lot when Bobby was running for president. It was a new world for me, but it was interesting watching it all play out.”
</b also claimed that she was warned by an unnamed colleague that her husband’s political beliefs could affect her Hollywood career.
“If there was a great project, I’d do it,” </b said. “The entertainment industry has been through a lot.”
“When this was all starting to happen … it was hard when people were asking, ‘Are you feeling it?’” she continued. “There are probably people who won’t want to work with me because I’m married to Bobby, and at the same time, there are people who are calling me and offering me projects because they like me and don’t care about politics. It might not be the same people that I had been working with.”
