UPDATE: Nancy Wilson of the iconic rock band Heart recently announced via social media that law enforcement has made an arrest related to the theft of their stolen instruments. She expressed gratitude towards the Atlantic City Police Department and the Hard Rock organization for their dedicated efforts. However, she poignantly noted, “While we’re encouraged by the progress made and thankful that an arrest has been made, our instruments have not yet been recovered. We remain hopeful that they will be returned to us soon.”
Heart is set to launch their summer North American tour tonight (June 4), albeit without two of their beloved custom instruments, which have reportedly been stolen. The band recently discovered that these unique instruments had gone missing and is currently offering a reward for their safe return.
As detailed in recent reports, the band found that two of their custom instruments were taken from the Atlantic City Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. These include a one-of-a-kind purple sparkle baritone Telecaster, meticulously handcrafted for Nancy Wilson, and a vintage 1966 Gibson EM-50 mandolin, which band member Paul Moak has cherished and played for over 25 years.
“These instruments are more than just tools of our trade — they’re extensions of our musical souls,” shared Nancy Wilson. “The baritone Tele was made uniquely for me, and Paul’s mandolin has been with him for decades. We’re heartbroken, and we’re asking for their safe return—no questions asked. Their value to us is immeasurable.”
