“Well, on set in scene, one of us is usually crying, right? Promo stuff, usually we’re both having a smile,” he said on the Zach Sang Show. “So, I think we’re having a much better time than the characters on set. I think that really translated to us when we were on set; there were all these days, like as in the bedroom scene, where we literally wouldn’t talk for the whole day. And then that just be it, the only connection we had in that scene.”

“I think that really helped us to transport it because even like the distance needs the chemistry, right? So even if we’re not in the same scene, the driving force is still, you know, like the very few human emotions like still, that longing for love right there,” Damian continued. “And so that really informs the characters’ decisions even if they’re not together, and I think it’s still based on the chemistry.”

He is then asked if it’s hard to commit to the distance when they are so connected in real life.

“Uh, no. Because I think we were so in character at that moment. We also just didn’t want to talk to each other. So, I feel like it’s not a problem at all.”

For those missing Maxton Hall, have no fear; the series is already renewed for a third season!
