In the wake of a series of controversial videos surfacing online, As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis finds himself under scrutiny once again. His wife, Dany Lambesis, has taken to social media to address the swirling rumors suggesting she is responsible for leaking these clips. Her response comes after a particularly troubling video emerged, showcasing Tim’s unsettling behavior during heated arguments with her.

The initial clips were released just before Thanksgiving, capturing Lambesis in distressing confrontations with Dany, filled with loud outbursts and accusations. Tim alleges these videos were shared maliciously following his filing for divorce earlier that week, claiming he had a restraining order against Dany due to alleged verbal and physical abuse on her part.

Recently, a third video has surfaced, depicting Lambesis in an alarming manner as he physically strikes a dog multiple times, further intensifying the controversy surrounding him.

As the videos continue to circulate, Dany decided it was time to publicly share her narrative on social media. In her statement, she firmly denies any involvement in leaking the videos and urges whoever is responsible to cease their actions immediately.

Before the release of the first video around Thanksgiving, Dany had already publicly addressed the situation, labeling the abuse allegations against Tim as “completely false.” In her latest remarks, she claims that her initial statement from October was drafted with the help of “managers” whose primary goal was to safeguard Lambesis’ public image.

On January 17, 2025, Dany chose to speak out again, particularly in response to Lambesis’ recent public statements and an interview that she perceives as an effort to obscure the reality of their tumultuous relationship.

Dany accuses Tim of employing “DARVO tactics,” an acronym for “deny, attack, reverse victim and offender.” According to Medical News Today, this technique involves shifting the blame for abusive behavior onto the victim, allowing the perpetrator to evade responsibility and deflect accountability.

I did not release the videos that have come out of Tim Lambesis. Not the ones that were released in November, nor the ones that were released today. Out of respect for me, I?m asking whoever is leaking videos to please stop.

I will no longer stay silent out of fear of Tim. The lies being told by him in his last statement and in this recent podcast are deliberate attempts to cover up the truth and play the victim, using typical DARVO tactics.

There was NEVER a domestic violence investigation against me, nor was there ever a restraining order placed against me. This is public information anyone can access online.
The videos that Tim claims to have of me
?abusing? him; are instances of self-defense and outbursts against his ongoing physical and mental abuse, and repeated infidelity with hundreds of people.
The statement I released on October 24th defending his abuse was drafted up by him and his new ?managers? to protect his career and public image. Which I have proof of.

Tim has continuously tried to intimidate me, bribe me, and beg me to sign an NDA in our marriage settlement stating that I will never publicly talk about him, so that the truth will be buried when our divorce is finalized, which are all recorded conversations. I also have a recorded phone call from Tim a week ago, rationalizing, and explaining why he thinks we should get back together.

I refuse to let dishonesty overshadow the pain and trauma I have endured any longer. Not just to me, but to others close to this as well. This isn?t just about me anymore.
There is Tim?s version of why his ex-bandmates left AILD, and then there is the truth. There is no ?irony? behind the timing of the dissolution of AILD and our marriage.

Towards the end of our relationship, Tim told me, ?In psychology, when someone hears a story of abuse in a relationship from one person, they are more likely to believe that person?s version because they were the first to tell the story.? At the time, I didn?t fully understand what he meant, but it is very clear to me now.

The initial leak of these videos coincided with the departure of all four bandmates from As I Lay Dying and one member from his side project, Austrian Death Machine. Guitarist Phil Sgrosso mentioned in his exit statement that he observed “concerning patterns of behavior” and felt that the band “no longer offers a healthy or safe environment for anyone involved.”

Other departing members echoed similar sentiments in their statements, highlighting concerns regarding moral integrity and the need to prioritize their personal well-being.

Tim Lambesis, who previously served time in prison during the 2010s for attempting to hire a hitman to kill his first wife, now stands as the sole remaining member of As I Lay Dying.
