Yorgos Lanthimos’s Kinds of Kindness now has a Hulu streaming release date. It will arrive on the streaming platform on Saturday, February 28, 2026, according to TV Guide.
Lanthimos directed the movie from a script he co-wrote with Efthimis Filippou. They have previously collaborated on four projects since 2009, with their last project being The Killing of a Sacred Deer in 2017. Lanthimos also reunited with Jerskin Fendrix for the film’s score, having worked together on Poor Things, which earned Fendrix his first Oscar nomination the previous year.
The movie boasts an impressive cast including Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Yorgos Stefanakos, Mamoudou Athie, and Hong Chau, among others. This marks the third collaboration between Stone and the director.
Kinds of Kindness is an anthology film that utilizes a triptych structure, featuring three loosely interconnected tales. While the cast received praise for their performances, the story did not resonate well with audiences. Consequently, it currently holds a 71% Tomatometer score and a 50% Popcornmeter rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The film premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on May 17, 2024, and later hit theaters on June 21, 2024. During its theatrical run, the movie grossed just over $16 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo.
In an interview with SiriusXM, it was disclosed that the original title was R.M.F., which was later changed to “And.” Ultimately, Lanthimos decided on “Kinds of Kindness.” Although the cast expressed their discontent with the second title, the director mentioned he still appreciates it “conceptually.”
The official synopsis of the movie reads: “A triptych fable following a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing at sea has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.”
