‘Harry Potter’ Star Alan Rickman’s Widow Says He Had “So Much More to Give” 10 Years After His Death
David Thewlis is “He Who Must Not Be Named” regarding the Harry Potter reboot.
Indeed, the British actor, who portrayed Professor Remus Lupin in the film series, stated he has no plans to reprise his role for the upcoming TV series in production for HBO.
“I feel like I’d be far too old to play my original character,” David told ScreenTime in an interview published on Feb. 8, “and, no, I wouldn’t want to go back into it.”
In fact, the 62-year-old admitted with laughter, “I’ve had quite enough of that. I’m sick of talking about it, quite honestly.”
However, while the Artful Dodger actor may be hesitant to revisit his time alongside Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, he remains appreciative of the impact the films had on young audiences.
“It is nice because with Harry Potter, it’s kids,” David continued. “And kids get very kind of impressed and very over-awed, and it’s very nice to make kids happy.”
