He then broke down some of his current workload, noting he was working on storyboard and department meetings for Man of Tomorrow, as well as scouting and casting for the highly anticipated movie focused on the villain Brainiac.
Gunn also mentioned he was working on cuts of both Supergirl and Lanterns, along with strategizing how to handle the marketing for these projects. Regarding the world of Batman, Gunn stated he was supporting the Batman 2 crew to ensure Matt Reeves’ next project “goes smoothly,” and that he’s still waiting to see the first cut of Clayface.

Currently, DC Studios has several projects in development. Also in 2026, DC Studios will release Lanterns, an HBO series based on the iconic group the Green Lanterns. This series doesn’t have an official release date yet but will feature Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan, Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, alongside Kelly Macdonald, Garret Dillahunt, Poiorna Jagannathan, Ulrich Thomsen, and more in various roles.
Finally, Man of Tomorrow and The Batman: Part II are set for release on July 9 and October 1, 2027, respectively.
