“It’s completely natural to feel a mix of anxiety, nervousness, and excitement when releasing a new record,” expressed Tetrarch guitarist and co-founder Diamond Rowe during her engaging conversation with Chuck Armstrong on Loudwire Nights on Thursday, June 12. The discussion centered around the band’s fresh album, The Ugly Side of Me. You can enjoy the full interview in the audio player located at the end of this article.

“Given my personality, I’m constantly thinking, ‘What’s our next step?'” Rowe elaborated. “Now, my mind is focused on the upcoming tour and everything that comes with it. The cycle of planning never really ends, but it’s incredibly rewarding to finally unleash new music and hit the road again. I’m genuinely excited about it.”
When Chuck inquired about the pressures associated with a new album release—especially considering it’s been nearly four years since they launched Unstable—Rowe was quick to share her perspective. “We just dropped this record [a few] weeks ago,” she noted. “So it feels like, ‘Alright, we have some fresh material out. Let’s take it on tour for a while and connect with our fans.'”

However, both Rowe and her bandmate, co-founder, and frontman Josh Fore are not only focused on the immediate future of touring; they’re also strategizing for what lies ahead. “I’ve already had discussions with Josh about when I envision us releasing something new,” she revealed. “It’s an ongoing process; you always need to plan and anticipate what’s next. But right now, with this album performing well, our main priority is touring. However, I do have some exciting ideas about when we might drop a surprise or two for our fans.”
Insights from Tetrarch’s Diamond Rowe on Loudwire Nights
- Ozzy Osbourne‘s impact on her life: “When I was around 10 or 11 years old, I was eager to absorb every genre of metal I could find. My musical journey spanned from nu metal to Opeth to Gojira—I loved it all. I became a massive fan of Ozzy Osbourne, wearing his T-shirts and decorating my walls with his posters. Listening to his records was a huge influence on me. Ozzy taught me the joy of performing; he always radiated happiness on stage, and it was clear he loved what he did.”
- Her feelings of gratitude while performing: “Even after playing multiple festivals, I still find myself emotional. At events like Louder Than Life, I often tear up. It feels surreal to me—why is this still happening? I can’t help but feel overwhelmed with happiness. Performing at festivals surrounded by peers and bands that inspired me, while connecting with new fans, is truly my version of heaven.”
- Upcoming U.S. tour plans for Tetrarch: “Upon our return from Europe, we have an exciting plan for the U.S. that we are eager to announce soon. From what I know, we should be hitting the road across the country this fall, so fans can expect to see us everywhere during that season.”
