Diddy has issued a rare statement addressing reports of him being caught drinking alcohol in prison.

The Bad Boy Records boss, who is serving a four-year sentence on prostitution-related charges, was recently busted for possessing homemade alcohol, TMZ reported over the weekend.

The prison brew was apparently made with Fanta, sugar, and apples, and left for several weeks to ferment into an alcoholic substance.

Officials at FCI Fort Dix, the low-security prison in New Jersey which Puffy had insisted was the best place for him to “address [his] drug abuse issues,” were reportedly planning to move the mogul to a new unit after discovering the banned substance.

However, they have since U-turned on their decision meaning he will stay put, according to TMZ.

The report directly contradicted previous statements made by the 55-year-old that he had gotten sober for the first time in 25 years.

Ahead of his sentencing in October, Diddy told the judge: “I’m committed to the journey of remaining a drug-free, non-violent and peaceful person … I thank God that I’m stronger, wiser, clean, clear and sober.”

In a since-deleted post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, a representative for Diddy denied the allegations, writing: “The rumors claiming Mr. Combs was caught with alcohol are completely false. His only focus is becoming the best version of himself and returning to his family.”

Puffy’s family spokesperson Juda Engelmayer also issued a statement to TMZ saying: “Mr. Combs is in his first week at FCI Fort Dix and is focused on adjusting, working on himself, and doing better each day.

“As with any high-profile individual in a new environment, there will be many rumors and exaggerated stories throughout his time there — most of them untrue.”

Engelmayer: “We ask that people give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth with grace and purpose.”

Earlier this month, the first photos of Diddy in prison surfaced online, showing him in seemingly high spirits while hanging out with other inmates in the prison yard.
