Investigating the Horrific Discovery of Alivia Jordan’s Mummified Body
As The Shade Room previously reported, Hobbs was arrested in June 2023. During the investigation, she faced charges of felony murder and second-degree cruelty to children. The horrifying discovery began when a neighbor at the Hidden Valley Apartments noticed that a door to one of the units was left “wide open.” Approaching the unit, he was struck by a “foul odor” that prompted him to investigate further.
Upon entering, he observed that a closet door was ajar. To his shock, he spotted what appeared to be a “human arm,” leading to the grim realization that he had uncovered a tragic scene.
“You could tell it was a young girl by what she had on and by her hair… She looked like a mummy,” she reportedly recounted to the press, a statement that underscores the horrifying nature of the situation.

According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Alivia Jordan’s body was discovered “strapped in a stroller inside a bedroom closet.” When law enforcement arrived at the scene, they found her remains in a “severely decomposed state,” indicating a prolonged period of neglect. During the investigation, Hobbs allegedly confessed to leaving her daughter confined to a stroller in the closet prior to abandoning the apartment, revealing the depth of her neglect.
