In a recent conversation with the Wall Street Journal, Disney Entertainment Co-Chairman Alan Bergman hinted at the exciting potential for future installments in the franchise. With projections suggesting that the film could rake in over $150 million during its opening weekend in the U.S. and Canada, Bergman expressed that it seems the audience is eager for more content. He stated, “It feels like it’s going to work very well, and it’s the kind of property that lends itself to more,” underscoring the franchise’s appeal and the possibility of extending its cinematic universe.
The live-action adaptation of Lilo & Stitch is poised to debut in theaters on May 23, 2025, creating a buzz among fans eager to see their beloved characters brought to life in a new format.
In this film, Maia Kealoha takes on the role of Lilo, while Sydney Agudong portrays Nani. Other notable cast members include Kaipo Dudoit as David, Tia Carrere as Mrs. Kekoa, Courtney B. Vance as Cobra Bubbles, Amy Hill as Tūtū, and Jason Scott Lee as a luau manager. The voice cast features Chris Sanders reprising his role as Stitch, alongside Zach Galifianakis voicing Dr. Jumba and Billy Magnussen voicing Agent Pleakley.
