Drake Bell is taking steps to officially end his estranged marriage.

The Drake & Josh alum filed for divorce from his wife Janet Von Schmeling in Seminole County, Florida, on Aug. 14, according to TMZ, two years after she filed her own divorce petition in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Indeed, Janet took the initial steps to end their four-year marriage back in April 2023, listing the reason for their September 2022 separation as irreconcilable differences. And at the time, court documents stated that she was seeking primary legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old son Wyatt as well as spousal support.

But since then, the former Nickelodeon star has shared insight into his seemingly amicable co-parenting relationship with Janet. In fact, he gushed about how much they love each other just last month.

“I don’t care if I’m angry at my ex-wife,” Drake said during a recent appearance on The Unplanned Podcast with Matt & Abby. “All my son knows is that me and his mom love each other.”
