And though the couple have still faced unimaginable pain—in July 2015, they mourned the death of their 13-year-old grandson Anthony after he was shot by his father Gregory Zecca, Francie’s son, in a freak accident—they feel grateful for the life they’re able to share.

“I love you even more today than I did on the day we said ‘I do,'” Dog wrote in a September 2025 tribute for their fifth wedding anniversary. “Please forgive me for the times I may have fallen short, my love. You are my honey, my heart, and my forever.”

Though his heart has room for his entire sprawling family.

While Francie has two sons, Dog has welcomed 13 children: Jon, Christopher, Duane Lee Jr., Leland, Zebadiah, Wesley, James, Barbara, Tucker, Lyssa, Bonnie, Garry and Cecily.

“I have many children of my own and stepchildren,” he once told Supernanny’s Jo Frost. “You have to slow down, get in their world. They don’t live in our world of laser vision yet.
