Donald Trump Plans Lawsuit Against ABC Over ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ Return

Donald Trump is reacting to the return of Jimmy Kimmel Live, just an hour before it hits the air.

The 79-year-old President of the United States took to his Truth Social account to share another lengthy message, criticizing host Jimmy Kimmel and threatening legal action against ABC, the network that airs the late-night talk show.

“I can’t believe ABC Fake News gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back. The White House was told by ABC that his show was cancelled!” Trump posted. “Something happened between then and now because his audience is GONE, and his ‘talent’ was never there. Why would they want someone back who does so poorly, who’s not funny, and who puts the network in jeopardy by playing 99% positive Democrat GARBAGE.”

“He is yet another arm of the DNC and, to the best of my knowledge, that would be a major illegal campaign contribution,” he continued. “I think we’re going to test ABC out on this. Let’s see how we do. Last time I went after them, they gave me $16 million. This one sounds even more lucrative. A true bunch of losers! Let Jimmy Kimmel rot in his bad ratings.”

The $16 million Trump is referring to is his lawsuit against ABC News and George Stephanopoulos, where the network and Trump settled for $15 million, plus $1 million in attorney fees.

Jimmy Kimmel Live was, of course, pulled off the air last week in what ABC said was “preempted indefinitely,” though in Trump‘s reaction after the news was announced, he claimed it was cancelled.

However, in the days since the show’s suspension, it has been widely reported that the network was working with Kimmel to bring the show back.

On Monday (September 22), it was announced that Jimmy Kimmel Live would return on Tuesday. There are still many TV stations that are reportedly not airing the show.
