Gillian Jacobs has a great idea for a new MCU TV show.
Jacobs voices Samantha Eve Wilkins/Atom Eve in Prime Video’s Invincible show. The fourth season of the animated series — which is based on the comic of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley — is set to premiere later this month.
Beyond that, Jacobs is known for playing Britta Perry in Community and Tiffany Jerimovich in The Bear. She has starred in movies such as 2009’s The Box, 2013’s The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, 2015’s Hot Tub Time Machine 2, 2016’s Don’t Think Twice, 2020’s Come Play, and more; additionally, she appears in all three of the original Fear Street trilogy that was released in 2021, and she voices a character in 2022’s Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again.
What is Gillian Jacobs’s MCU TV show pitch?
Speaking to MovieWeb, Jacobs revealed her pitch for a Marvel Television show that she hopes gets made one day.
“I actually have a pitch,” she said. “Do you know this comic, Dakota North? It was a short-run Marvel comic. I think that would make a great TV show.”
When asked if she’d want to star in the show or develop it behind-the-scenes, Jacobs said, “However, they’ll have me. I don’t know. I just discovered that comic, and I think it’s such a great world visually. It’s such a fun character. So I’ve always liked Dakota North. Awesome.”
Created by Martha Thomases and Tony Salmons, Dakota North made her Marvel Comics debut in 1986’s Dakota North #1. She is a freelance private detective whose cases see her cross paths with characters such as Spider-Man, Luke Cage, Daredevil, and more.
At this time, no Dakota North project has been officially announced by Marvel Studios. Invincible Season 4 debuts on March 18, 2026.
