Heartfelt Announcement of Tour Cancellation by Lord Buffalo
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our tour cancellation,” wrote Lord Buffalo. “Our drummer, Yamal Said, a Mexican citizen and a lawful permanent resident of the United States, recognized as a green card holder, was taken off our flight to Europe by Customs and Border Patrol at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on Monday, May 12. We have not been able to reconnect with him since his removal, and we are actively collaborating with an immigration lawyer to gather more information and work towards securing his release.”

“While we are heartbroken about this tour cancellation, our primary focus is on ensuring Yamal’s safety and securing his freedom,” they added. “We remain hopeful that this setback is temporary and that we can safely reschedule our tour in the future. During this time, we encourage everyone to support our touring partners, Orsak:Oslo, who will continue to perform in our absence. Please go out and see this incredible band over the next few weeks.”

The announcement of Lord Buffalo’s tour cancellation coincides with significant developments in immigration policy under President Donald Trump. In the initial 100 days of his second term, Trump implemented a series of executive orders, legal actions, raids, and detentions, all aimed at achieving a goal of one million deportations annually, which has resulted in heightened tensions regarding immigration enforcement.
