According to a recent post by X user “heyzineb,” Chalamet was a guest on the French television show Quotidien. He mentioned that the first trailer for Dune: Part Three is finished and should be released very soon. The exact timing is unknown, but with the Super Bowl approaching, fans speculate that Warner Bros. could be preparing to release the trailer then.
Dune: Part Three is once again directed by Denis Villeneuve, who directed the first two films. The third film in the franchise is based on Frank Herbert’s 1969 novel Dune Messiah. Alongside Chalamet, who returns as Paul Atreides, the cast of Dune: Part 3 also includes Zendaya as Chani, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa as Leto II Atreides, and Ida Brooke as Ghanima Atreides. Robert Pattinson is also set to appear in an undisclosed role.
Filming for Dune: Part Three began in July 2025 and wrapped up later that year in November. Currently, the film is set to release on December 18, 2026, coinciding with Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday, leading fans to humorously refer to that day as “Dunesday,” reminiscent of 2023’s “Barbenheimer,” when both Barbie and Oppenheimer were released on the same day.
