Early Bird Tickets for Indie Week Australia Edition Launched by A2IM

In a significant move for the independent music community, early bird tickets have been released for the inaugural A2IM Indie Week Australian Edition. This exciting event is organized by A2IM (The American Association of Independent Music) and is set to take place from July 30 to August 1, 2025, in the vibrant city of Adelaide, South Australia.

Located in the heart of South Australia, the A2IM Indie Week Australian Edition will be hosted by the Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR) during their renowned annual Indie-Con Australia Conference. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for the independent music sector, as it merges local talent and global industry insights during this vibrant three-day festival.

Celebrated as a “historic event” for A2IM, this marks the first occasion in its 20-year history that the organization is extending its flagship conference beyond U.S. borders. The partnership with AIR and support from the South Australian Government were first unveiled in August 2024 during the 2024 AIR Awards, which honor the achievements within Australia’s thriving independent music scene.

“We are thrilled to bring the A2IM Indie Week‘s first international event to Adelaide, recognized as Australia’s UNESCO City of Music,” expressed Lisa Hresko, General Manager of A2IM. This event is designed to serve as a global hub for independent music, fostering a vibrant community of industry leaders and exchanging innovative ideas that will shape the future of music.

The 2025 Indie-Con Australia Conference will closely mirror A2IM’s traditional Indie Week format, creating an environment where industry experts, speakers, and participants from around the world converge to discuss the current challenges and future opportunities within the music sector. While the detailed agenda will be unveiled in June, the previous edition of Indie-Con showcased over 80 speakers, including global music industry leaders, label representatives, independent artists, journalists, and delegates from more than 50 different companies.

Kicking off on July 30, the A2IM Indie Week Australian Edition will set the stage for the subsequent Indie-Con Australia Conference on July 31 and August 1, all taking place at the historic Mercury Cinema in Adelaide. The festivities will not stop there, as the prestigious 2025 AIR Awards will also be held at the Adelaide Town Hall on July 31. Additionally, the quintessential 17th annual Indie Week will be returning to New York City from June 10 to 12.

Early bird tickets for the A2IM Indie Week Australian Edition are currently available for purchase. AIR members can secure their tickets for $249 AUD (approximately $158 USD), while non-members can purchase tickets for $349 AUD (about $222 USD). This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with the independent music sector and connect with influential figures in the industry.
