Zak Bagans is amplifying the fright factor this spooky season … the “Ghost Adventures” host has removed the protective glass from one of his most chilling artifacts … Ed Gein’s real-life cauldron.

With Ryan Murphy’s “Monster: The Ed Gein Story” generating excitement, Zak is adding his own dose of horror … unveiling the cauldron that once contained human blood and entrails in Gein’s barn. For the month of October, fans can view it without glass … but there’s a significant catch.

Zak is making it abundantly clear — this cauldron is cursed and that’s why he has kept it behind glass for 8 years — and now that it’s out, touching it is at your own peril. His team is even on standby to monitor any strange paranormal occurrences. He emphasizes that he is not removing the glass to endanger anyone, but to allow guests a closer look.

This is definitely for the brave (or the foolhardy) … locals claim that anyone who touched the cauldron faced a grim fate, and a psychic once asserted that Gein’s spirit remains attached to it. This is unsettling … considering he’s the real-life monster who inspired “Psycho” and “Texas Chainsaw Massacre.”

Zak spent $2,800 at an auction in 2015 for the 25-gallon cauldron and produced a film with Eli Roth titled “The Devil’s Cauldron,” which is part of his ‘Haunted Museum’ series on HBO MAX.
